UPDATE: Police arrest mother who dumped two-day-old baby in a bush

The Kasoa Domestic Violence and Victim Support Unit (DOVVSU) Department has apprehended a 24 year old Patience Zuenu who allegedly dumped her two day old baby in the bush at Ofaakor – Oklu Nkwanta a small community called Patron on Monday in the Awutu Senya East Municipality of the Central Region.
The baby was found by a resident who went to the bush to ease himself early Thursday morning.
Atinka news in an interview with the Kasoa DOVVSU District Police Commander, ASP Doris Laryea Aggrey, she said the suspect Patience Zuenu was arrested Wednesday, January 22 2020 after she came to plead to take back the baby.
She added that Patience Zuenu has now accepted that, the abandoned baby is for her.
Meanwhile, the Kasoa DOVVSU Commander noted that, the baby has been referred to the Social Welfare Department to be taken care of, whilst the police arrange the suspect before the law court.
