We’re demonstrating against injustice under NPP – Kwaku Boahene

The Deputy National Communications Officer for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Kwaku Boahen says the party is demonstrating against the spate of injustices in the country under the New Patriotic Party’s Administration.

He also said the party is demonstrating against some unqualified persons who have been recruited into the security service and are exposing their unprofessionalism by killing civilians.

The NDC youth wing through its Organiser, George Opare Addo on June 30, 2021, issued a statement that the party’s youth wing will on July 6, 2021, embark on a demonstration dubbed: “A March for Justice.”

This was after some security persons brutalised citizens with impunity at Ejura, Wa and the violence that characterized the 2020 election.

Speaking on Atinka TV’s morning show, Ghana Nie with Ekourba Gyasi Simpremu, Kwaku Boahen said, “The vehicle they used at Ejura was not for the security agency; it was an operation covid vehicle they used and when they went, they started shooting. Who will shoot into the crowd in their right sense if they are really trained soldiers,”? he quizzed.

Meanwhile, he said with the way people are ready for the demonstration, he is not sure if the police would have peace in the country if they deny them their constitutional right.

Unlike the the #FixTheCountry demonstrators who have been denied their freedom to demonstrate, the NDC will embark on the demonstration tomorrow, July 6th 2021.
