The Minister for Finance, Ken Ofori-Atta says despite being hit by the covid-19 pandemic, no public sector worker was laid.
This is contrary to that of the private sector.
Due to the pandemic, it was reported that a lot of the youth, mostly working with private companies lost their jobs.
But reading the 2022 budget, the Finance Minister said,”I am proud to announce that not a single public sector worker was laid off as a result of the impact of the pandemic on our public finances and we have managed to pay them monthly and we are grateful to the Unions for their corporations in this regard.
