Northern Regional NPP Chairman, Daniel Bugri Naabu, has parked his mangled accident car at the Aliu Mahama Sports stadium ahead of the party’s regional elections today.
The motive for the action is not clear, but observers believe the move is intended to increase sympathy votes in Saturday’s election.
The incumbent chairman, has, however, dismissed the claims, saying he just wants to prove to people that the accident was real and not stage-managed.
The incumbent NPP chair was involved in an accident on the Damongo-Sawla road two days ago. Reports suggested that his vehicle somersaulted multiple times, putting his life in danger. He was allegedly airlifted to Accra for treatment.
