C/R: Assin South MP donates desks to basic schools

 

Rev John Ntim Fordjour, MP for Assin South has donated 300 dual desks and 40 teachers furniture to Assin Ochiso D/A Basic and Assin Kruwa D/A Basic Schools all in the Assin South Constituency in the Central Region.

This kind gesture, according to him, is to ensure that the over 1,500 pupils in these schools have decent and comfortable seats for teaching and learning.

Presenting the items to the two schools, John Ntim Fordjour stated that it is part his vision to  ensure that every child in his constituency receives basic education and studies under good conditions.

Receiving the items on the School's behalf, the Assin South District Director of Education, Mr. Stephen Abamfo expressed his gratitude to the MP and promised that the items will serve its purpose.

The Chiefs, teachers and parents of the two schools also expressed their profound gratitude for the kind gesture exhibited by the MP.

The pupils with excitement gathered around the MP each wanting a handshake to say thank you.

The Member of Parliament also charged the pupils to commit to learning and discipline. He also pledged to support as many pupils who excel in their studies to reach the highest attainment possible.

The MP also urged teachers and the pupils to embrace the culture of maintenance to ensure the furniture donated is put to judicious and lasting use.
