Two shot over Western Togoland crisis

Two persons have been shot dead over the current Western Togoland mayhem being caused by Secessionist Group.

Members of the group took over Juapong, a town in North Tongu District of the Volta Region, mounted huge sign posts with the inscription ‘Welcome to Western Togoland’ at different entry points and also prevented motorists from leaving the town.

The members also captured three personnel of the Ghana Police Service after attacking the Aveyime and Mepe Police Stations.

They burnt car tyres and mounted road blocks at different entry points, all in the name of seeking independence of their land.

The Military and police have been deployed to put the place in order but in the course of it, two persons have been allegedly shot and dead.

Atinkaonline.com will update the public soon on the matter.
