We’ve fixed more roads than any period in Ghana’s history- Ofori Atta

The Minister for Finance, Ken Ofori-Atta says the NPP Government has fixed more roads within the last five years, more than any period in the history of Ghana.

Although roads have been fixed, he assured the public that the government will fix more roads moving forward.

He said this while reading the 2022 Budget Statement in Parliament on Wednesday.

“Our roads are being fixed, it is true that more roads have been fixed and are being fixed over the last five years than any relative period in the entire history of our nation. We even want to do a lot more and this budget will cater for this,” he said.

He said that is why the government imposed tolls on some public roads to raise funds for road construction and maintenance.

Meanwhile, he said road tolls will be abolished on all public roads and bridges due to the congestion its collection causes on the roads.
