You’ll know Nogokpo is a god of thunder & lightning if you refuse to submit- PRO to Agyinasare

Nogokpo

The Public Relations Officer (PRO) for Nogokpo Chiefs, Nufialaga Mawufemor Korbla Nonyigbey, has stated that if the founder of the Perez Chapel International, Archbishop Charles Agyinasare refuses to present himself to the Chiefs and Elders of Nogokpo within 14 days, he will know that the gods of Nogokpo is no child’s play.

He said this following the brouhaha between the Chiefs of Nogokpo and Archbishop Charles Agyinasare, after he described the place as the headquarters of demons while preaching.

At a summit held recently at the headquarters of Perez Chapel in Accra, the Archbishop preached about divine protection and the existence of evil forces and cited several examples to support his teaching.

He recalled an experience after a crusade at Aflao where he described Nogokpo as the ‘demonic headquarters’ of the Volta Region after a tyre of the vehicle they drove in went off on their way back to their hotel, putting them in danger.

Following the publication of the video online, the Church leader has come under heavy criticism in the media, resulting in reaction from the people of Nogokpo, including statements from the Dufia of Nogokpo, Torgbi Saba V.

Due to the comments by the Archbishop, the Chiefs of Nogokpo have given him a 14-day ultimatum, to appear before them to explain what he meant.

Speaking on Atinka TV’s morning show, Ghana Nie with Nana Yaw Fianko, Nufialaga Mawufemor Korbla Nonyigbey said,”Yes, we have given him the 14 -day ultimatum because we do not want to sound like we just got up and took the law in our hands and we did not give him the opportunity to do the right thing. We could have just gotten up to do what we need from him after tarnishing the image of this peaceful community called Nogokpo, but we decided to give him a 14 day ultimatum and he, being an adult, will see the need to come and see the Elders to resolve this amicably . But, if he chooses not to come, that is where he will know that Nogokpo or for that matter, the god of thunder, lightening, fire and justice  is no child’s play.”

When asked if this fued was going to be a spiritual warfare, he answered,”Well, we are peace loving people, we do not fight for our Supreme Energies. Our supreme energies, do their own work, what we need to do is to hand over to them for them to give us justice, we do not engage in any physical battle with anyone. He said Nogokpo is the demonic headquarters, in the Volta Region, I believe everybody has heard that one loud and clear, so, what he was saying is that Volta Region is a demonic place and Nogokpo is our headquarters, he did not only insult the people of Nogokpo, but the entire Volta Region.”

Meanwhile, he said it has come to a time when everyone, especially those in the Christian Faith know that the Constitution of Ghana allows freedom of worship and the need to at least respect other religions.
