The wife of the late former Vice President of Ghana, Mrs. Matilda Amissah Arthur has lashed at politicians who spread “lies” and malignant about his late husband.
Delivering her tribute to her beloved husband, she said she has been completely taken aback at the number of people who have trooped to her residence to show love following her husband’s demise.
According to her, she has been asking herself whether the people who spread lies at her late husband really took time to know of him better.
“Over the last few weeks, I am amazed at the number people who have come to show appreciation and I ask myself, is this Ghana? Are all these people in Ghana because of the maligning, the lies, the treachery, the mischievousness?
“…I ask myself is my own husband you have come to say tribute to? And today I ask the same question: Did people really know my husband? Did they take time to know him? The false accusations, the maligning. Did they know him? She quizzed.
As she eulogized her late husband, she indicated that she and everyone in their household truly knew the kind of person her husband was.
