The family of Douglas Acheampong who was allegedly shot dead in connection with an incident at the Narawa mining concession at Akyem Heman is demanding justice for their deceased relative.
The incident, which occurred at Akyem Heman, has left the family devastated as they seek answers over what led to the fatal shooting.
Speaking in an interview during a visitation by the management of Narawa Mining Company at the family house, Kweku Owusu, father of the deceased, called on the appropriate authorities to conduct a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding his son’s death and ensure that those responsible are held accountable.
An opinion leader of Akyem Heman, Johnson Appiah also said the shooting has sparked concern among residents and called for proper investigation.
Operations Manager of Narawa Mining Company, Abdul Kareem on his part pleaded with the youth of the town to remain calm as efforts are being made to seek justice for late Acheampong.
The late Douglas Acheampong left behind a 3 year old son.
