“I won’t fight Mills’ family due to my respect for him” – Koku

Koku Anyidoho

Koku Anyidoho, the Chief Executive Officer of the Atta Mills Institute, has revealed that he will not fight the brothers of Prof Mills, Cadman Atta-Mills and Sammy Atta-Mills because of the respect he has for the late former president.

This statement comes after Cadman Atta-Mills, the elder brother of the former President of Ghana, Prof John Evans Atta Mills accused Koku Anyidoho of running the Atta-Mills Institute (AMI) which is not sanctioned nor authorized the Mills’ family.

Dr Cadman Mills said this while speaking at the J.E.A. Mills Memorial Heritage’s memorial lecture held in honor of the late President at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC) on July 26.

Samuel Atta Mills, another Brother of the late President Atta Mills early on accusing Koku Anyidoho of tempering with the grave of his brother.

He made this accusation after the aide of the former President in collaboration with government renovated the ‘Asomdwe Park’ where the mortal remains of the Atta Mills were buried.

“It is not proper to allow the NGO to make changes to the grave without recourse to the family.”

“Apparently a group calling itself Atta Mills Institute that the family does not recognize and Coastal Development Authority have gone to break this grave of President Evans Atta Mills…why would you go and touch somebody’s grave without informing the family?… Who has the body now? That is the question I want to ask Ghanaians,” Samuel Atta Mills said at a press conference.

Reacting to the allegations in a tweet, Koku Anyidoho said the Koku Anyidoho Institute will keep the legacy of President Atta-Mills alive.

“Because of my deep respect for president Atta-Mills, I shall have no fight with Cadman Atta-Mills and Sammy Atta-Mills. Let them live with their shame.  Koku Anyidoho Institute will keep the legacy of president Atta-Mills Alive. To God Almighty Be The Glory,” Koku said in a tweet.
