Member of Parliament for Anyaa Sowutuom, Hon. Emmanuel Tobbin, has declared his constituency’s full support for the re-election of Justin Kodua Frimpong (JFK) as General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
According to Hon. Tobbin, JFK’s humility, emotional intelligence and ability to build consensus are qualities the party needs as it rebuilds ahead of the 2028 general elections.
Speaking during JFK’s campaign tour at Weija-GBAWE, the MP urged Constituency Executives from Weija-GBAWE and Domeabra-Obom to vote massively for JFK.
“We cannot afford to lose JFK’s humility and emotional intelligence as our General Secretary in our quest to win power in 2028,” he said.
Hon. Tobbin disclosed that he had secured a 100 percent commitment from executives in the Anyaa Sowutuom Constituency to support JFK’s re-election.
He said the decision followed consultations with the constituency executives, who, according to him, believe JFK remains the right person to lead the party’s organisational and rebuilding efforts.
“I have built consensus with my executives, and we have all seen the need to retain JFK. I am therefore declaring 100 percent votes for JFK in Anyaa Sowutuom,” he stated.
Leadership and Consensus-Building
Hon. Tobbin praised JFK for his ability to listen to different views, manage disagreements and bring party members together around a common goal.
He said such qualities were particularly important for the NPP as it seeks to strengthen its structures, rebuild unity and regain power in 2028.
The MP also highlighted JFK’s contribution to the NPP Parliamentary Caucus, describing him as an important figure in the work of the Minority in Parliament.
He said JFK’s support and coordination had contributed to the effectiveness of NPP MPs in Parliament.
Hon. Tobbin therefore urged party executives to retain JFK, arguing that the NPP needs experienced and unifying leadership to successfully navigate its rebuilding process.
He also called on executives in Weija-GBAWE and Domeabra-Obom to support JFK’s bid, stressing that unity, consensus and effective leadership would be crucial to the party’s return to power in 2028.
